The President of AlZaytona University of Science and Technology, Prof. Dawood Al-Zaatari, today signed a cooperation agreement with the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Amjad Barham, at the Ministry’s headquarters. Under this agreement, university students will be able to benefit from the student loan program offered by the Palestinian Higher Education Student Loan Fund, similar to students at other Palestinian universities and colleges.
Prof. Al-Zaatari emphasized that this landmark agreement will enable university students to access interest-free loans provided by the Fund, thereby alleviating their financial burdens and supporting their academic journey. He praised the Ministry’s significant efforts in serving the higher education sector and enhancing its outcomes.
For his part, Prof. Barham stressed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting and empowering Palestinian students to complete their university education, highlighting the strategic role of the Student Loan Fund in assisting thousands of students to continue their academic paths.
The signing ceremony was also attended by the Director General of the Student Loan Fund, Ms. Ghadeer Hethnawi.
It is worth noting that the Student Loan Fund provides interest-free loans to undergraduate and diploma students in Palestinian higher education institutions who are unable to pay tuition fees. Repayment begins after graduation and employment, through affordable monthly installments.
