Al-Zaytoonah University of Science and Technology held a training meeting today, November 3, 2025, in cooperation with the Civil Defense Apparatus, in the presence of Brigadier General Imad Jamal, Director of Civil Defense, Major Zaher Yaqoub, Major Amal Muqdi, and Dr. Samer Bali, Coordinator of the University's Emergency Committee, along with committee members and a number of university students who are members of the Firefighting Committee.
This meeting aimed to raise awareness about the types of fires, their causes, classifications, and methods of handling them, in addition to learning about various firefighting techniques. A series of explanatory videos were presented, illustrating how to act in different situations during fire outbreaks, and a practical explanation was provided on the mechanism of using a fire extinguisher.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a practical exercise was conducted to extinguish a simulated fire with the participation of the attendees, which contributed to enhancing their practical skills and increasing their readiness to handle emergency situations in the future.
