AlZaytona University of Science and Technology and the Palestinian Student Support Fund Explore Ways to Enhance Cooperation

A delegation from the Palestinian Student Support Fund (PSSF), including the Chairman of the Board, Engineer Ali Atta, along with board members and contributors, visited the campus of AlZaytona University of Science and Technology. They met with University President, Prof. Dawood Al-Zaatari, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Mousa Al-Juba, Dean of the Technical College, Dr. Samer Bali, Head of Public Relations, Dr. Islam Ayadi, and other members of the Board of Trustees to discuss ways to strengthen collaboration between the two parties.

At the start of the meeting, Prof. Al-Zaatari provided a comprehensive introduction to the university and its faculties, emphasizing that the university was founded with a purposeful mission: to provide technological, creative, and research-oriented education to all Palestinian students. He highlighted the strategic importance of the relationship between Palestinian universities in general and the PSSF, underscoring the vital role of the Fund in supporting the continuity and excellence of the Palestinian educational journey through the provision of scholarships for students across Palestinian universities.

Mr. Al-Juba emphasized that the university is committed to continuing its support for its students and consistently seeks to establish strong strategic partnerships with national and international institutions and organizations. He expressed pride in opening the door for strategic cooperation with the PSSF, strengthening the partnership to achieve social justice and reinforce the Palestinian right to education through the Fund’s role in supporting students’ educational journey across Palestinian universities.

It is noteworthy that the Palestinian Student Support Fund was established in the United States in 2017 by a group of Palestinian Americans in Chicago, with the mission of supporting Palestinian resilience by providing scholarships to students in various fields at Palestinian universities. The Fund aims to alleviate the financial burden of education on students and their families, promote economic empowerment by preparing qualified graduates, and facilitate their entry into the labor market. Since its founding, the Fund has provided numerous scholarships to Palestinian university students, enabling them to pursue higher education by easing tuition costs.

During the visit, the PSSF delegation toured the university campus to familiarize themselves with its facilities and the surrounding area.
