Awareness Seminar on “Traffic Accidents and Illegal Vehicles”

AlZaytona University of Science and Technology, in cooperation with the Palestinian Police, hosted an awareness seminar titled “Traffic Accidents and Illegal Vehicles.” The seminar focused on traffic accidents , traffic law, proper procedures during accidents, and police protocols implemented according to the law to ensure the protection of all parties involved. The event was attended by a group of university students and faculty members.

First Lieutenant Shireen Al-Ahmad, Awareness Officer at the Traffic Department of Salfit Police, presented on the importance of adhering to traffic laws while driving to ensure the safety of both drivers and pedestrians. She highlighted the necessity for vehicles to be properly insured and licensed to achieve this goal. She also provided a detailed explanation of the dangers posed by illegal vehicles, describing them as “ticking time bombs” that can pose serious risks to everyone, emphasizing the importance of removing such vehicles from the roads and never operating them under any circumstances, as doing so constitutes a legal violation.

Dr. Islam Ayadi, Head of Public Relations at the university, expressed her gratitude to all seminar participants, noting the significant impact these sessions have on students and the university community, particularly in the areas of traffic awareness, drug prevention, internet safety, and responsible social media use. The seminar was attended by Lt. Col. Ibrahim Qwareq, Director of Public Relations, Lt. Col. Ahmad Haj Ali from the Police Services Department, and Lt. Col. Farouk Al-Arid from the Traffic Department of Salfit Police.
