Signing of an academic memorandum of understanding between Al-Zaytuna University for Science and Technology and the Arab Women's Union Association to promote health education

Al-Zaytona University for Science and Technology, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Daoud Al-Zaatari, signed an academic memorandum of understanding with the Arab Women’s Union Association in Nablus, “Hajja Andalib Al-Amd College of Nursing and Midwifery,” in the presence of a delegation from the university that included Mr. Ayman Sheikh Ibrahim, Coordinator of the College of Natural and Health Sciences, and Dr. Samer Atiya, Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs.

The association was represented by Ms. Ahoud Yaish, its president, and the general manager, Dr. Izzat Al-Rayan, along with a number of board members, namely Ms. Manar Al-Amd, Ms. Samar Arafat, and Ms. Tamara Kamal, in addition to the directors of the association’s various institutions, and Engineer Adli Yaish. On the college side, its director, Professor Abdullah Bani Odeh, and its academic and administrative staff also participated.

The memorandum stipulates the strengthening of academic cooperation between the two parties through the development of curricula that align with national and international standards, the exchange of academic expertise, the implementation of joint practical training programs, and the organization of workshops and scientific activities that contribute to enhancing students' skills and preparing them for the job market. This memorandum comes within the framework of the association's efforts to improve the quality of education at its affiliated college, and is in line with the strategic plan for the years 2026–2028, which focuses on strengthening partnerships with national academic and health institutions, thereby contributing to the development of healthcare professionals according to the highest academic and professional standards.

The meeting began with a speech by the President of the Association, Ms. Ahoud Yaish, in which she welcomed the attendees, stressing the importance of this partnership in supporting students and enhancing their academic and practical opportunities, and emphasizing the Association’s commitment to providing an advanced educational environment that contributes to graduating qualified health personnel.

For his part, the President of Al-Zaytona University for Science and Technology, Professor Dr. Daoud Al-Zaatari, praised this memorandum, considering it a model of constructive cooperation between academic institutions, and stressing that it will contribute to the development of health education and the improvement of the level of health personnel in Palestine.

The meeting concluded with the signing of the memorandum between the two parties, amidst a shared emphasis on the importance of strengthening sustainable academic cooperation. The university delegation then toured the association, learning about its long and distinguished history dating back to the 1920s.
