Overview
The Interior Design and Decoration Program is a specialized artistic program designed to prepare creative professionals with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in designing and executing interior spaces for a variety of building types. The curriculum covers design fundamentals, material selection, paint colors, lighting, as well as interior decoration techniques and spatial coordination.
The program aims to graduate technicians capable of transforming design concepts into practical solutions that meet client requirements while adhering to aesthetic and functional standards.
Students are also equipped with the skills necessary to select appropriate colors, prepare surfaces, and perform various decoration tasks, all while ensuring quality and occupational safety standards.
Additionally, the program offers intensive practical training through workshops and field projects to enhance students’ abilities to deliver innovative interior designs and decorations with precision and professionalism.

Vision:
To be a pioneering program in Palestinian higher education that advances the architecture, interior design, and contracting sectors by producing specialists in paints and coatings, skilled in color theory, quantities, lighting integration, and application techniques for both interior and exterior environments.
Mission:
Our mission is to provide innovative theoretical and practical education—introduced for the first time in Palestinian higher education—in the field of paints, their colors, types, mixing methods, and applications. We aim to equip graduates with the expertise needed to enhance the aesthetic and functional quality of buildings and to contribute meaningfully to the development of the construction and design industries.
Program Objectives
The Interior Design and Decoration program aims to prepare graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to support administrative and practical work in health institutions. The program focuses on achieving the following objectives:
- Supplying the Palestinian market with highly qualified technical and artistic specialists in interior design and decoration who meet international standards.
- Providing students with the knowledge, tools, and modern techniques required to implement design concepts for buildings.
- Equipping students with the artistic skills needed for sustaining and developing projects, such as industrial arts skills and creating decorative models.
- Meeting the needs of the local market for technicians capable of using specialized computer programs
Learning Outcomes
The Interior Design and Decoration Diploma Program aims to:
- Enable students to handle the design of residential and commercial projects.
- Equip students with the ability to read plans and calculate quantities.
- Train students to work with and design interior architectural spaces according to fundamental principles.
- Provide students with hands-on training in important computer programs that support the interior design field.
- Develop students’ ability to select and adapt each design to the nature of the intended space.
- Build students’ competence in identifying different types of lighting and using each appropriately.
- Teach students the skill of selecting and coordinating colors in a way that suits the nature of each project.

Admission Requirements
The program targets recent high school graduates who have achieved a minimum average of 50% across all streams of the General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi).
