As a result of the studies carried out by the university, there was an urgent need to create this program, which is considered the first of its kind at the national level, and for this reason, it will be of benefit at the university level in particular and at the national level in general.
The proposed specialization will be granted to students through 74 credit hours in addition to field training in the labor market, and the study plan was built in it in accordance with the studies and needs of the market on the one hand, and the skills and knowledge that must be provided by graduates of the specialization on the other hand, and the university designed the study plan with the help of many consultants and specialists in the labor sector and other educational institutions.
The telecommunications sector made qualitative and rapid leaps, as communication technologies diversified into modern means of communication and technologies. As a result of the rapid succession in this field, it was necessary to find practical technical specializations that go along with it.
Wireless communication technology is considered one of the new and rare specialties in Palestine. The importance of this specialization has increased recently due to recent developments in the field of mobile devices. This program aims to:
- Finding specialized technicians in this field to meet the needs of the local and global community
- Creating new job opportunities that cover a large segment of graduates of this specialization due to the market need for it
- Graduating professionally trained technical cadres who possess distinguished professional skills such as installation, maintenance, equipment and auxiliary engineering skills in telecommunications technology
- Providing the labor market with local technical and technical competencies with the aim of gradually dispensing with foreign expertise
- Encouraging professional work and distinguished technical projects that serve the local community and keep pace with the rapid technological development in the field of wireless communications.
- Working on building distinguished relationships with different work sectors in the field of telecommunications, with the aim of field training and obtaining job opportunities for graduates.

- Radio and television
- media networks
- Relevant government institutions such as the Ministry of Communication
