Technology & Engineering
This program is offered for the first time in Palestinian universities, and grants a bachelor's degree with a total of 158 credit hours.
The specialization is represented by a group of engineering courses related to energy, renewable energy and the environment. The program focuses on providing university engineering education in the field of renewable and sustainable energy generation from solar energy, wind energy, bioenergy, geothermal energy, and tidal energy. The program aims to provide students with all modern skills to design all types of renewable energy systems (solar, wind, hydro and geothermal) of all sizes (small, medium and high capacity systems). Through the available courses and specialized laboratories in energy, those enrolled in the specialization will be able to analyze and compare all energy systems and produce engineering designs and environmental reports for all energy projects. In addition to the ability to participate in solving climate problems that the world is exposed to, so that the student becomes part of the global experiences in solving the problem of global warming and dispensing with fossil energy. In addition to having a specialized staff with research and technological skills to keep pace with global scientific and technological progress in this specialty.
Establishing an engineering and academic department in a modern and strategic specialization that aims to support the global trend to protect the environment and reduce pollution and global warming by producing energy in all its forms from clean, renewable and sustainable sources. In addition to supporting the local economy and its energy independence through the use of alternative sources aimed at preserving the environment and providing a current economic source. In addition to providing advanced engineering education in the field of renewable and sustainable energy generation from solar energy, wind energy, bioenergy, thermal energy and wave energy. Graduated engineers are able to develop and use modern technologies in renewable energy in order to replace fossil fuels. In addition to providing researchers to conduct high-level research to follow up on scientific and technological progress in this advanced field of knowledge.
