Al-Zaytuna University for Science and Technology, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Daoud Al-Zaatari, signed an academic memorandum of understanding with the Palestine Institute for National Security Research. The signing ceremony was attended by a university delegation including Dr. Fahoum Al-Shalabi, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Dr. Bilal Al-Karaki, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology; and Dr. Samer Bali, Dean of the Intermediate Technical College. The institute was represented by retired Major General Habes Al-Shrouf, its Director General, and Dr. Iyad Bandar, Director of the Regional and Arab Studies Unit, along with their accompanying delegation.
The memorandum stipulates strengthening academic cooperation between the two parties, by establishing the foundations of strong relations and cooperation between the institute and the university in order to localize and develop the knowledge and research fields related to Palestinian national security, and Al-Zaytouna University for Science and Technology’s keenness to raise the role of higher education and provide distinguished quality education, enhance the role of scientific research and serving the local community, exchange experiences and knowledge in issuing, preparing and conducting scientific and strategic studies and research, opinion polls, education and training, and cooperating in organizing scientific conferences and seminars.
