Al-Zaytona University of Science and Technology takes great pride in the achievement of its Emergency Medical Services (Paramedic) students, Murad Khamayseh and Leen Nazzal, following their participation as part of the Palestine Red Crescent Society team, which won first place globally in the 2026 First Aid World Cup. The event took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, under the auspices and supervision of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), with the participation of 162 teams representing 85 national societies from five regions across the world.
The competition featured regional and international challenges focused on three main pillars: innovation in first aid and resuscitation, emergency response through complex scenario simulations, and public awareness campaigns alongside community capacity building.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society was crowned first place globally, jointly with the Red Cross Society of China, in recognition of the high level of professionalism demonstrated by the participating team, their rapid response, and their ability to deliver innovative solutions for critical scenarios and field simulations, as well as their excellence in community and awareness programs.
Al-Zaytona University of Science and Technology is proud to have students Murad Khamayseh and Leen Nazzal as part of this global achievement, which reflects the competence of Emergency Medical Services students and their ability to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world emergency situations and compete in international events where competence, innovation, and rapid response are paramount.
An achievement we take pride in… and students who elevate the name of Al-Zaytona University and their homeland, Palestine, onto international platforms of excellence.
