A meeting was held between Al-Zaytuna University for Science and Technology and Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio, USA, to enhance academic cooperation between the two cities.

Al-Zaytuna University for Science and Technology was represented at the meeting by its president, Professor Daoud Al-Zaatari, while Sinclair Community College was represented by Professor Derek Petrey, PhD, and Paul Strozier. Representatives from the City of Dayton also attended, including Kevin Lady, Head of the Twinning Committee, and Yousef Al-Zein, the committee’s coordinator, as well as Ms. Inas Abdel-Fattah, representing the Salfit Governorate.

During the meeting, the importance of building effective educational partnerships between the two sides was emphasized. This includes developing joint academic programs, exchanging experiences between students and faculty, and enhancing training and e-learning opportunities, all of which contribute to expanding the horizons of academic cooperation between Salfit and Dayton.

Both parties agreed to identify areas of common interest and to begin developing joint academic programs, initially to be implemented virtually, with plans to expand cooperation in the coming period.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Al-Zaytouna University for Science and Technology expressed its sincere gratitude to the Salfit Governorate and to His Excellency the Governor for their continued support of the university’s efforts to build international partnerships that enhance the academic and developmental standing of both the governorate and the university.
