As part of the educational and recreational activities organized by Al-Zaytouna University for Science and Technology, students from the Faculty of Business Administration and students from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology made a scientific and cultural visit to the city of Bethlehem and the village of Beitir, as part of the English language and digital marketing courses.
The visit began at The Walled Off Hotel, an exceptional art museum-hotel built on the wall, designed by renowned British artist Banksy in collaboration with local Palestinian artists. The hotel offers a unique experience combining contemporary art and cultural tourism, highlighting the Palestinian narrative and the suffering of the Palestinian people through impactful artwork and interior design.
The students then headed to the village of Beitir, located southwest of Bethlehem, where they toured its archaeological sites listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and learned about the historic Beitir railway, which is a testament to an important period in the history of Palestine.
The visit concluded at the Church of the Nativity, where the students had the opportunity to learn about one of the most prominent religious and historical sites in the world.
Such scientific trips aim to enhance students’ cultural and historical awareness, link academic knowledge to the Palestinian reality, while providing an opportunity for communication and entertainment in a fun educational atmosphere.
