AlZaytona University for Science and Technology, represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Daoud Al-Zatari, hosted a ceremony honoring the top-performing high school graduates (Tawjihi) of the “Steadfastness and Giving Class of 2026.” Held under the patronage of the Governor of Salfit, Mr. Mustafa Taqatqa, the event was jointly organized by AlZaytona University for Science and Technology, the Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah) – Salfit Branch, and the Directorate of Education in Salfit Governorate, in the presence of official, national, and educational figures.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh, member of the Fatah Central Committee; Mr. Mustafa Taqatqa, Governor of Salfit; Mr. Mohammad Al-Aqra’, Director of Education in Salfit Governorate; Mr. Abdul Sattar Awwad, Revolutionary Council member and Secretary of the Fatah Movement – Salfit Branch; and Mr. Muwaffaq Sahweil, Revolutionary Council member and Secretary of the Fatah Movement – Ramallah and Al-Bireh Branch, alongside official and public figures, educational leaders, and families of the top-achieving students.

The proceedings opened with a speech by Mr. Abdul Sattar Awwad, who welcomed the attendees and highlighted the importance of the ceremony in fostering a culture of excellence. He commended the efforts of the students, their families, and the teaching staff, emphasizing Fatah’s continued support for outstanding students in pursuing their academic journeys.

In his address, Prof. Dr. Daoud Al-Zatari expressed the university’s pride in hosting this national event. He reiterated that supporting academic excellence and nurturing talented students remain top priorities for the university, aligned with its mission to prepare qualified professionals capable of contributing to community development and national service.

Governor Mustafa Taqatqa extended his congratulations to the top achievers and their families, stating that this accomplishment reflects the determination and willpower of the governorate’s youth. He praised the vital role of educational institutions in raising a conscious and distinguished generation to shape the future of Palestine.

Furthermore, Mr. Mohammad Al-Aqra’, Director of Education in Salfit, commended the outstanding performance of the governorate’s students in the high school exams. He noted that this success is the fruit of dedicated efforts by students, parents, and teachers, wishing the graduates continued success in their academic and professional pursuits.

Concluding the official addresses, Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh congratulated the students and their families, emphasizing that investing in education and knowledge represents the true investment in the nation’s future. He called upon the students to maintain their pursuit of excellence and contribute to the advancement of Palestinian society.

Speaking on behalf of the top-achieving students, Ayman Assi—who ranked first in the Scientific Stream with a score of 99.6%—expressed gratitude for the recognition. He emphasized that this achievement resulted from years of perseverance, offering thanks to families, teachers, and event organizers for providing a strong incentive for future success.

The ceremony featured several artistic and national segments, including a performance by artist Oday Forsan, as well as a traditional Zajal performance by artists Ibrahim Zitawi and Diya Al-Deek, adding a celebratory atmosphere that reflected pride in the students’ accomplishments.

At the conclusion of the event, all top-performing high school graduates were honored for their academic distinction. The top scorers across various streams received special awards, including cash prizes provided by the Fatah Movement, iPad devices presented by AlZaytona University for Science and Technology, and a public speaking training course provided by Ihab Al-Shaer to encourage their continued academic success.
