A field visit to the construction sites of projects belonging to Al-Nabali and Al-Fares companies in the city of Ramallah

As part of Al-Zaytoonah University of Science and Technology’s, and the Faculty of Engineering’s in particular, efforts to bridge the gap between academic and practical learning, the Faculty of Engineering – Department of Architectural Engineering – organized a field visit to the construction sites of projects belonging to Al-Nabali and Al-Fares companies in Ramallah.

The visit was supervised by Dr. Iman Shaqour and Engineer Omar Anati, who accompanied the students on the tour and guided them in observing the practical aspects related to their engineering courses.

During the visit, the students observed the progress of work on a variety of projects, including excavation sites, building construction sites, and finishing stages in the Al-Rayhan suburb and the Ammar Tower in Al-Bireh, as well as several other towers under construction in the same city.

The students were welcomed by a group of supervising engineers and project managers, along with design engineers. The engineering team provided a detailed explanation of the work mechanisms, implementation phases, quality control procedures, and the most significant engineering challenges encountered during the construction of buildings.

At the end of the field trip, the students headed to the company headquarters, where they were received by a number of engineers who gave a presentation about the company and its areas of work. They also launched an initiative to inform the students about future training opportunities available within the company’s projects.
