As part of Al-Zaytuna University for Science and Technology’s efforts to bridge the gap between academic study and practical application, the Intermediate Technical College – Interior Design Diploma program organized an educational and recreational field trip to the Palestinian Museum in Birzeit and the city of Rawabi on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, with the participation of diploma students.

The visit was supervised by Professor Salwa Bouzieh, Professor Israa Zubaidi, and Professor Iqbal Al-Khatib, and aimed to enhance students’ practical knowledge and enable them to directly observe real-world examples related to the field of interior design.

The visit included a tour of the Palestinian Museum, during which students learned about the design and architectural concepts used in designing museum spaces. They also explored the operational and organizational aspects not visible to the public (back-end), and the mechanisms that contribute to managing interior spaces and presenting content in a way that balances functionality and aesthetics.

The visit also included a tour of Rawabi City, during which students learned about the city’s urban planning and the most prominent modern architectural styles employed there. They also explored the relationship between interior design and the surrounding urban environment, thus broadening their professional horizons and connecting theory with practical application.

This visit is part of the extracurricular activities that the Intermediate Technical College is keen to organize, with the aim of refining students’ skills, enhancing their readiness for the job market, and opening new horizons for them in the field of interior design.
