The President of Al-Zaytouna University for Science and Technology, Professor Dr. Daoud Al-Zaatari, and members of the teaching and administrative staff received the Minister of Labor, Dr. Inas Al-Atari, and the Governor of Salfit Governorate, Mustafa Taqatqa, and their accompanying delegation, in the context of strengthening partnership and cooperation with academic institutions, and learning about their efforts in supporting sustainable development and creating job opportunities.
Dr. Al-Za’tari briefed Minister Al-Attari and the accompanying delegation on the academic programs and specializations offered by the university, and its role in preparing national competencies and qualifying students for the labor market, in addition to discussing ways to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of training, vocational qualification and youth skills development.
Governor Taqatqa stressed the importance of the role played by universities and educational institutions in building the Palestinian individual and enhancing his scientific and professional capabilities, praising the academic and research achievements of Al-Zaytouna University for Science and Technology, which have contributed to serving the local community and supporting the development process in the governorate.
For her part, Minister Al-Attari praised the university’s efforts in aligning educational outcomes with the needs of the labor market, stressing the Ministry of Labor’s keenness to strengthen partnerships with academic institutions in a way that contributes to providing training and employment opportunities for graduates and empowering young people economically.
During the meeting, the delegation toured the university campus to view and learn about the university facilities and the surrounding area. The university also thanks the Governor of Salfit Governorate for his support of educational institutions and his continued commitment to strengthening partnerships with official bodies.
